What a wonderful year we have had! The beginning of a new school year has started, and we have resumed programs for youth and adults!
Along with our original programs such as storytimes, Read with Therapy Dog Bentley, Tween Time, Game Time, S T E M, Movie Time, Book Buddies with our amazing NCL volunteers, the always popular ZBK with Miss. Yuru, we have started brand new programs! We hope you join us for Chess Club and Family Yoga every Saturday in the Youth Department!
Our Adult programs are also in full swing! Writer’s Group started on October 11th and will meet every second Wednesday of the month. Be sure to catch Book Club and Coffee and Conversation. In September, Coffee and Conversation hosted NASA Ambassador Susan Kurtik; she discussed the annular and total eclipse that happened this year. In October, we were visited by the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, where we got an up-close experience with live raptors and learned about their natural habitat. In September, we also hosted Native American Storyteller Cathleen Chilcote Wallace, who visited with stories of California local native Ancestors and artifact display.Adults enjoyed a watercolor painting series with Margot Wallace, and library patrons are enjoying the current art show, Autumn Colors, by the RSF Art Guild.
