We hope you are having a great summer and hope you have enjoyed some time at the library. We have been busy with fun Summer Reading events, a fantastic author fundraiser, and much more!
The Library Guild hosted a SOLD-OUT author luncheon featuring NY Times bestselling author Lisa See at a new venue on June 8th. The Crosby Club was beautifully decorated, and our wonderful guests enjoyed lunch and an intriguing author talk.
Lisa See was engaging and entertaining as she shared her amazing research in writing Lady Tan’s Circle of Women, which debuted two days before our event and is already on the Best Sellers list!

At the July board meeting of the Library Guild of Rancho Santa Fe, board member Steven Krasnoff was elected board president following the retirement of Mary Siegrist. Mary served as president for over five years, navigating the Covid closure of the library and the challenges it presented to the Guild. Steven has served on the board for over two years and is an enthusiastic volunteer in the RSF Book Cellar. We wish Mary well in her retirement and welcome Steven as our new leader!
Our Children and Youth department has enjoyed a summer full of reading, crafts, prizes, and special guests! We had a blast at the Ralph’s World concert on June 29th, and author Stacy and her miniature horse Sugar’s visit are always a fun treat! The end of the Summer Reading Program and Ice Cream Social was a great success and enjoyed by many library readers who have read hundreds of books! A huge thank you to the National Charity League chapters Del Norte and Del Sol for their help throughout the SRP and in making the Ice Cream Social great! It was a fabulous way to end the summer and prepare to start the new school year!
