About the Library Guild of Rancho Santa Fe
A rare treasure nestled in the heart of the village of Rancho Santa Fe.
Established by community leaders in 1963, the Library Guild of Rancho Santa Fe was created to raise private funds for a much- needed library facility in the Ranch. In 1968, funded entirely by private donations, the Rancho Santa Fe Library branch opened in its current location, near the center of town and adjacent to the R Roger Rowe School. The library building, still owned and maintained by The Library Guild of Rancho Santa Fe, is a rare treasure nestled in the heart of the village of Rancho Santa Fe.
Today, the Rancho Santa Fe Library is a unique example of community and County cooperation. The role of the Library Guild is vital to the branch, providing funds for essential library resources and services, most notably, staffing for the Children’s library and funding for Adult, Teen and Children’s programming.
The Library Guild of Rancho Santa Fe raises funds to provide essential services and resources above and beyond the budget of the San Diego County Library.
